Edo State Ministry of Education has commended the Class of ’83, Edo College, Benin-City, for supporting the efforts of the Adams Oshiomhole administration in uplifting the standard of education in the state.
The ministry made the commendation in a letter to the Edo College Class of ’83 following donations made by the class to their alma mater as part of the 30th anniversary of the graduation of the set.
Among the donations presented to the school were 31 magnetic whiteboards, 10 fans, among others.
In a letter to the class of “83, signed on behalf of the commissioner by P. O. Omionawele, the ministry said:
”The Edo State Ministry of Education commends your kind gesture at complementing the efforts of the present administration in the state towards uplifting the standard of education in the state. No doubt, that your contribution will go a long way to help improve the teaching and learning process in the school.”
”We thank the members of the Class of 1983 and it is our sincere hope that your Association will grow in strength.”
The donations are part of activities commemorating the 30 year anniversary of the Class of “83 which is expected to climax with a class reunion later in the year.
