AWKA—A major political stakeholder and financier of PDP in Anambra State, Prince Arthur Eze, has thrown his weight behind power shift to the northern senatorial zone of the state.
Arthur Eze made this known when the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship aspirant Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, paid him a courtesy visit at his Enugu residence. Prince Eze said he was prepared to follow Anambra north senatorial zone into the battle of the governorship race with all his resources, adding that he was granting his support to the zone in the spirit of equity, fairness and justice.
Eze noted that aspirants as Dr. Chris Ngige, a serving Senator and former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Professor Charles Soludo who came to him to solicit his support were told plainly to drop their aspiration for now in respect to the power shift to the North.
Noting that Anambra North people were honest and transparent, Eze described Obiogbolu as a very good material for governorship, based on his achievements in the public service but added that he had not endorsed any aspirant as claimed in some quarters.
