Osibodu advises visually impaired on commitment in sports

Following the just concluded 18th annual inter-house sports of the Nigerian Society for the Blind, NSB hosted at the mainbowl of the University of Lagos, chairman of Special Olympics Mr. Gbolade Osibodu has admonished the participants to be committed in any sports they are privileged to be involved in.

He stressed that  “there is always ability in any disability, therefore I will urge you all to strive by all means to show yourselves.”

Also speaking at the event was the chairman of the NSB, Mrs. Biola Agbaje who advised the participants to put in their best in every Games they participate in as the window of opportunities to represent Nigeria in the next Paralympics Games abound.

“We have past students who are now part of the Lagos team and are strongly aspiring to represent Nigeria in the Paralympics Games” she said  .

The inter-house sports however, ended on a  joyous mood as Blue House won with Red house coming second.

Among the dignitaries that were present at the event were chairman of NSB Mrs. Biola Agbaje, Mr. Gbolade Osibodo, Chairman committee on Special Olympics in Nigeria, Chief Olu Falomo, Asiwaju Fola Osibo.
