LAGOS—THE police in Ojo Division, Lagos have arrested three suspected robbers that have been terrorizing traders at the popular Alaba international market.

The suspects, identified as Chukwuma Ikwu, 32, Kingsley Oluwaseun, 28 and Izunna Ulowa 23, reportedly dispossed victims of their belongings and whenever their victims failed to cooperate, they would be beaten to death. They also confessed that they have been into bag snatching for the past six years

One of the suspects, Chukwuma claimed that joblessness led him into armed  robbery. He said: “I have been into bag snatching for the past six years and have not made up my mind to stop due to lack of job in the country”.

The suspects had been transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad for further investigations.
