Oshiomhole’s score card: Edo ACN chairman blasts Orbih

BY SIMON EBEGBULEM

BENIN CITY— ACTION Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in Edo State has faulted the comments credited to the chairman of the state Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Dan Orbih, that Governor Adams Oshiomhole led government has not constructed any meaningful road in the state, which was why he (Oshiomhole) refused to receive the Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku, when he was in the state on the Good Governance tour.

State chairman of ACN, Mr Thomas Okosun, who reacted yesterday, said: “I want to believe that the comments are not true but if they are true, may be he just woke up from slumber. How can Orbih say that we have not constructed roads in Edo State? How can he say that we have not done anything in Edo State? The roads we have constructed is visible to the people of Edo State and that was why they voted for Oshiomhoe and ACN.

“Is Orbih going to deny the water project constructed in Ogbona, his village? Will he deny the roads in Auchi in front of his father’s hotel or the roads that lead to his house in Ogbona all the way to Fugar? Will he deny the roads across the 18 local government areas? Or will he deny the schools in his community? I don’t know who he wants to satisfy, that is why I said I don’t believe he said all that.

“Do we require the Minister of Information and a delegation of 128 people to tell the people of Edo State that Oshiomhoe has worked for the people? Which money was he expecting the governor to spend on the delegation of 128 people?”
