Special Adviser to the state governor on Security Matters, Lt. Col. Bernard Kenebai (rtd), stated this in Yenagoa, in a paper, Current Security Challenges in Bayelsa State, delivered during the visit of students of Senior Course 35 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, Kaduna State.

He said aside measures to build security infrastructure, the state government was also making arrangements to boost the capacities of selected policemen through specialised training.

Kenebai told members of Syndicate One of the Senior Course 35, who were on tour of Bayelsa State, that the government was making huge investment in security to protect lives and property.
