ABUJA-THE House of Representatives Thursday  summoned the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohammed Bello Adoke,  Director-General, Department of State Security Service ,SSS, Mr. Ita Ekpeyong, and the Edo State Attorney-General over the murder of Comrade Olaitan Oyerinde, Principal Private Secretary of Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole.

Expected to appear before the law makers on February 27 are Oyerinde’s widow and her brother.

Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole had recently accused the police of shoddy handling of his late aide’s murder, declaring that  the SSS investigation was more thorough.

This development  prompted the House of Representatives to intervene.

Appearing before the House committee on public Petitions  in Abuja, Conference of Civil Society Groups, said the police investigations were fraught with inconsistencies.

They chided the police for detaining their fellow activist, Rev. David Ugolor, in contempt of a court order.
