Second National Operator, Globacom last week introduced a new number series, 0811 to the market to contain its rapidly increasing subscriber base in Nigeria. This is as the company begins preparations for its epochal 10th anniversary later this year.
The new number series, totalling ten million lines, according to Glo, is for existing and new subscribers to the network following approval by the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC).
Announcing the new development, Globacom’s Acting Head of Marketing, Mr Niyi Olukoya, said “we are pleased to inform our teeming, existing and prospective subscribers of the new number series which has been rolled into the market. We have endeared our self to the people and we are glad to be the network of choice among telephone users”, he added
Olukoya explained that the new number series became necessary because the company had exhausted the earlier series allocated to it.
The Glo 0811 SIM brings to five the number series on the Glo network which included 0805, 0807, 0705 as well as 0815. Olukoya said the new number series would give rich and exciting telephony experience.
