Eight suspected members of the Boko Haram sect accused of complicity in the kidnap and killing of a Briton, Christopher McManus and his Italian counterpart, Franco Lamolinara, in Sokoto on March 7, were yesterday paraded in Abuja by the State Security Service, SSS.

NASARAWA State High Court sitting in Lafia has sentenced an Abuja-based pentecostal church Pastor, Mr. Bitrus Bakkat, to a 21-year imprisonment for defrauding two job seekers of N205,000.

THE three unions in the power sector, yesterday issued a month-end ultimatum to government to, among others, halt the purported transfer of employees of Power Holding Company of Nigeria PHCN, to successor companies by the Power Minister without concluding negotiations with labour. The unions said that failure to heed the directive would lead to shut down of the sector.
