President Goodluck Jonathan has begged the media to stop portraying the Federal Government as weak and ineffective in tackling the challenges of terrorism posed by the Boko Haram sect.

PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan was last night forced into a meeting with governors of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP following reports that some of the governors retracted on an early agreement to support his choice of Alhaji Bamanga Tukur as national chairman of the party at today’s convention of the party.

They were helpless, looking dejected like a people waiting to be crucified for a sin they did not commit. Waiting hopelessly under the scorching sun for the pension payments, they groaned silently just as they muted few curses on those who are responsible for their plight.
