By Favour Nnabugwu

ABUJA—Ahead of the 2013 Area Council election in the FCT, member, Board of Trustees of All Nigerian Peoples Party, and founding member of the party in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Isah Yahaya, has resigned his membership of the ANPP Board of Trustees, BOT and the party.

Yahaya, whose resignation was made known to Vanguard in a letter addressed to the Chairman of the party, did not, however, give specific reasons for his resignation but told reporters that the party had failed to stabilise, move forward and maintain a viable opposition status in the FCT.

Speaking to reporters, Isa said his resignation from the party would enable him move forward in his political career.

The resignation read: “I, Yahaya Isah, a founding member of All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP, FCT, Abuja and four-time chairmanship candidate of ANPP in Bwari Area Council, currently member of the National Board of Trustees BOT, representing the FCT, Abuja, for obvious reasons, hereby, formally resign as member of the Board of Trustees and consequently resign my membership from the All Nigeria Peoples Party.”
