Akure —AS jubilation greeted the declaration of Dr. Olusegun Mimiko as the winner of the last Saturday governorship election in Ondo State, leaders of the PDP in the state have paid a congratulatory visit to him.
Vanguard gathered that they visited on Sunday few hours after Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared him winner of the election.
Led by a member of the board of trustees of the party, Dr. Bode Olajumoke, the leaders said they had come to congratulate him for his victory at the poll.
Other members of the party that accompanied Dr. Olajumoke included a Special Adviser to the immediate past Governor Olusegun Agagu, Chief Segun Adegoke; Senator Gbenga Ogunniya, a three term member of the National Assembly; two former members of the House of Representatives – Gbenga Elegbeleye and Tayo Fawahinmi, Prof. Olu Agbi, a former ambassa-dor to Austria and Dr. Akin Olowookere.
Speaking at the government house, Dr. Olajumoke advised the newly re-elected governor to re-double his effort in the delivery of the dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
He asked the governor not to disappoint the people.
