Lagos state governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola will be joined by former Manchester United and England captain, Bryan Robson, NFF President, Aminu Maigari, alongside Liberian football legend George Opong Weah as part of a star studded session on the “Beautiful Game” at the Soccerex seminar holding in Lagos September 27 – 28, 2012.

The session will look at  the  latest issues affecting the game and also look back at some memorable moments from the glittering careers of some of the all time greats including Robson’s title winning days at United and Weah’s incredible exploits that saw him crowned World, European and African footballer of the year in 1995.

While Gov Fashola will be guest of honour at the event, NFF President Aminu Maigari will deliver the keynote address. The NFF boss has described the event as “a landmark achievement that should be celebrated considering what Soccerex has been doing in the area of business for the past one and a half decades.”

Soccerex is a unique football show that has held across five continents and covers all areas in football including sports infrastructure, media, sponsorship, physical education and more. Soccerex director, Daniel Krebs said, “we want to give the students an insight on the various career paths available linked to football and how they could possibly combine their passion for the beautiful game with their profession.”

Lagos FA boss, Seyi Akinwunmi explained in a chat with the media that “we will take full advantage of soccerex being here to change the face of football in the country, beginning from Lagos.”
