Super Eagles assistant coach, Daniel Amokachi is in London for the Summer Olympics.

‘But Amokachi who won gold at  the Atlanta 96 Olympics will not be in London as an athlete or as part of Team Nigeria. Rather he will be there to cover the Games for cable tv channel, Supersport which has secured the rights to transmit the events of the games to millions of its subscribers across the globe.

Announcing the schedule for Olympics transmission Wednesday in Lagos, DSTV Nigeria public relations officer, Segun Fayose said, apart from Amokachi who would be doing magazine programmes for the organisation, there would be five other reporters cut across Africa, including Nigeria’s Chisom Mbonu from Supersport Nigeria who will cover teams from all the West African sub-region and Team Nigeria in particular.

“We will beam all events involving Nigeria live and that will include the exploits of D’Tigers, Nigeria’s male basketball team,”

He explained that the organisation had dedicated five channels for the live coverage of the Olympics.
