Come Friday, June 15,the duo of P-Square,Flavour and others will be rocking the stage at the Amstel Malta gig in the heart of Port-Harcourt.

The show to hold inside the impressive Altrium Hall, promises the best of fun for entertainment lovers based in the oil city.

Indeed, the fun is set to begin as Amstel Malta the nation’s number one Low Sugar malt drink, Amstel Malta brings to its consumers Amstel Malta Showtime, a unique activation platform that is getting set to rock cities across the country. After delivering on the promise of fun and excitement in its debut season, Amstel Malta Showtime is set to be explosive in the second edition.

P- Square

The first edition of the event certainly left indelible memories in the minds of those who attended. Given the caliber of superstars from the entertainment sector that performed, the event established itself as one of the leading entertainment activations in the country.

Ace acts like P Square, Banky W, Wizkid, and the trio of MI, Ice Prince and Jesse Jagz of the Choc City fame, amongst others, made up the roll call of celebrities in the event that moved across four cities of the federation. There was also the impressive Darey ‘Art’ Alade, who was the compere while Buchi and Gandoki spiced up the events with their hilarious jokes. A year on and the locations where the superstars performed are still buzzing with the excitement.

Now, it’s time for the second edition and the Amstel Malta brand has pledged that it is certainly going to be more mind-blowing than the previous edition. This year’s edition will feature top stars including P square, Flavour, Naeto-C, WizKid, 9ice, Davido, Tuface Idibia, Tiwa Savage amongst others.

Amstel Malta Showtime which gives opportunities for gifted youngsters to “Be their best” on stage, will feature varieties such as singing, dancing and comedy contests where competitors display their talents in music, dance and comedy.

Winners of the contest in each category will have the rare privilege to perform on the stage with the headlining superstars. This year’s event will also see a vast improvement in the prizes being doled out to winners in each category. The winners in each category will also get a whooping sum of N500, 000, an iPad and a fully paid luxurious weekend getaway in Lagos. The second and third prize winners will get N250, 000 and N100, 000 respectively.

Just like last year, this year’s event will also be touching four cities with the event kicking off in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State on Jun 15, 2012, with P Square and Favour thrilling the audience. There would also be rib cracking jokes by ace comedian, Senator, while ace dance group, Outrage, will also be present to entertain.

Benin City in Edo State will be next for the train of excitement as Naeto C and Davido will take their turn to dazzle the audience on July 27, 2012. Comedy will be supplied by Buchi while Corporate Dance World will set the hall on fire with their electrifying dance steps.

The ancient city of Ibadan will host 9ice and Tiwa Savage on August 31, 2012. Seyi Law will be the comedian of the day. Hit dance group, Outrage, will complete the ensemble of stars.

The final leg of the event will be staged in Lagos, the Centre of Excellence, on October 5, 2012, with Tuface and Wiz Kid thrilling the audience. Ace comedian I Go Die, will be the comedian of the night while Corporate Dance World will thrill the audience with their exciting choreography.

The show will further be spiced with special radio programmes which would air in the various cities where Amstel Malta Showtime will hold. The stations scheduled to air Amstel Malta Showtime are Cool FM and Family FM, all in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Other stations include Rhythm FM and ITV in Benin, Edo State, while Ibadan-based radio stations, Splash FM and BCOS will also air the programme. Lagos State will have Beat FM, Cool FM and City FM.
