Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko will on Monday inaugurate the Caring Heart Model School which was constructed on the premises of the All Saints Anglican Primary School, which had dilapidated structures in Oke Ijebu, a suburb of Akure.
A statement by the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Kayode Akinmade, on Wednesday described the school as one of the best in the country with 42 classrooms, having capacity to accommodate 25 pupils each.
Akinmade said, “The school which has state-of-the-art facilities was built with modern touch, with a conventional library and e-library.“It has a standard office for the head teacher, to make the education sector in the state more attractive.
“Already the state government has acquired school uniforms, school bags and shoes to be distributed to the pupils freely by government as part of its social service and commitment to the development of education in the state”
Akinmade added that each of the classrooms had been equipped with modern equipment like electronic board, standard chairs and tables to make learning and teaching more conducive for the pupils and the teachers.
The Commissioner also said the state government had re-trained the teachers to be deployed to the schools, while government would ensure that the pupils that were relocated from the old structures would be given priority in admission.
He expressed the determination of the state government to continue to build schools with the right atmosphere for studies and security.
