Non-indigenes endorse Mimiko’s for 2nd tenure

Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State has declared that no amount of propaganda would deter him from serving the people because his government is divine and ordained by God, even as the umbrella body of all non-indigenes resident in the state, The Non-Indigene Alliance, endorsed the his re-election bid.

The group’s President-General, Mr. Frank Sheen, led members of the group to the governor’s office to declare support for his second-term bid. Mr. King Adenuga, Chairman of the South-West zone and President of the Ogun State chapter, read the Alliance’s address in which he eulogi-sed Governor Mimiko for the unprecedented transformation of the state.

Adenuga noted that all the residents of the state, indigenes or non-indigenes alike, have continued to enjoy the dividends of democracy in Mimiko’s administration.

He added that the mother and child hospital in Akure has also continued to alleviate the suffering of the poor because all pregnant women resident in the state, and from the neighbouring states have been enjoying quality maternal healthcare at no cost.

While describing his leadership quality and government as unique in the South-West zone, the group urged him not to be distracted by the unpleasant remarks of the opposition who are bent on pulling him down.

He said: “We have been consistently following the government in its agenda of turning Ondo State around. We are, therefore, appealing to our amiable governor not to mind the detractors as they attempt to make themselves enemies of progress of Ondo State.”
