Eminent Nigerians stormed Ijero Ekiti countryhome of Omoboriowos to pay their respects to the late politician and former Deputy Governor of old Ondo State, Chief Akinwole Michael Omoboriowo who was buried  yesterday.

In a bid to demonstrate his love and respect to the late legal practitioner,the state governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi pledged to work in alliance with other stakesholders in the state on how to immortalize the late democrat

Omoboriowo, who was the Deputy Governor to the late former Governor of old Ondo State, Chief Michael Adekunle Ajasin between 1979 and 1983 died on April 10 this year in Lagos after a brief illness

In his sermon at a funeral service held at the premises of the late politician, the officiating priest, a Togolese, Joseph Tokpo, described the late Omoboriowo as a true Chritian who despite his political feat remained a true believer.

Tokpo also described late Omoboriowo as a man who had shown leadership by example by not amassing wealth when he was in government and called  on coming politicians and future leadersto emulate the late democrat

Notable Nigerians who graced the occasion included the former Governor of Old Ondo State, Evang. Bamidele Olumilua, the former Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Segun Oni, the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Alhaji Alli Olanusi.

Others included the Publisher of Ovation Magazine, Mr Dele Momodu, GMD FCMB, Mr Ladi Balogun, Wife of former Ekiti State Governor, Mrs Feyisetan Fayose, PDP Chairman in the State, Mr Makanjuola Ogundipe, Chairman of ACN in the State, Chief Jide Awe, among others.

Speaking at the occasion, the state governor Dr Fayemi described Omoboriowo as a man who loved service to humanity , assuring the people that the upcoming political stars in the State would pursue his legacies in  exemplary fashion to the betterment of an average Ekiti man.
