Dayo is a graduate of Chemical Engineering from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria. He is convinced that his introduction into the Media world is not by accident. He is focused on seeing unwholesome contents which have infiltrated the media being replaced by positive things.
Dayo is a writer, blogger, entrepreneur and youth advocate. His works have been in both national and international publications. Dayo’s writings basically revolve around empowering youths as he believes they are the greatest resource any nation can have.
He started as a student journalist with a National newspaper freelancing as a correspondent for his campus at ABU. His engineering background did not stop his passion for writing and he was able to win in 2010, the Coca-Cola/campus life prize for profile reporting.
His story in remedial education in Nigeria won a byline prize with United Press International (UPI) Washington DC, one of the largest news companies in the world. He was recently interviewed by two top journalists in the US and was featured in the UPI magazine as one of the best student journalists in Nigeria.
He has attended several conferences, trainings and workshops in the media industry including a professional training course on photography with popular portrait photographer and singer TY Bello. He is also editor of several magazines and campus newspapers.
He is currently the Media and Production Director of Eternity Network International, a faith-based organization, which trains people who believe and are convinced they have a vocation in the Media . He recently established the D’sophia Consults, where he intends to provide basic media and business consultancy needs.
MILLICENT O .DICKSON, LAGOS STATE
Millicent comes across too many people as one person that depicts passion and drive for getting things done as she uses her brush and some other make-up kit to titivate several individuals.
This amiable Edo-born young lady is the Chief Executive Officer of Mil Options, a total beauty enterprise that specializes
in make up, cosmetics supply and training. Her passion for the profession was birthed in 2004, when she got a complete make up box from Milan, Italy.
At the tender age of 19, she ventured into the beauty business against all odds. Having worked with big wigs in the entertainment industry such as Dbanj, Femi Adeyinka, Samklef, Terry Tha Rapman, Asha, Whizkid and a host of others.
She sees her passion for beautifying people’s faces as a calling. She runs a make-up academy for individuals who desire to make a difference in the beauty business and who will use the acquired skills as means for empowering the next generation of female entrepreneurs.
She gladly shares her expertise with magazines and is fast becoming a mentor to female entrepreneurs. Her hard work occasioned her nomination for the Most Enterprising Youth at the 201l Dynamix Awards and Young Female Entrepreneur (2012) at the Society People Extra’s Excellence Awards.
