A Uinted Kingdom-based Nigerian rights acitivist, Mr Efemena Agadama has slamed the Federal Government over its alleged poor handling of terrorist attacks which had so far claimed over 1,000 lives, saying that the government had to be firm in addressing the issue.
Agadama was reacting to the Easter day bomb blast in Kaduna which claimed over 40 lives.
Expressing disappointment over alleged insincerity of the Federal Government in handling the matter, which he said were no longer isolated, Agadama asked the Federal Government to break diplomatic relations with any country or countries directly or indirectly sympathising or supporting terrorist attacks on Nigerians.
He said: “We should not be seen to be doing business or supporting any country that either directly or indirectly supply weapons to the sect to kill innocent citizens of the country.
‘’Security agencies should also arrest the sponsors and adherents of the Islamic sect involved in the bombings with a view to ensuring justice.
“Government must not only classify the sect as a terrorist organisation but unmask those behind it, so that the international community can take us serious. The Federal Government should also move faster by seeking international assistance from bodies like ECOWAS, African Union, and the UN among others.
‘’This should be done to save lives of innocent Nigerians and their property,’’ he said.
