Oritsejafor urges terrorists to stop attacks

Lagos – The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor,  has appealed to the masterminds of the bombings in the country to stop the attacks in the interest of Nigeria’s unity.

In a statement made available to the Newsmen in Lagos on Thursday, the cleric said that human lives were sacred and should not be wasted.

He also said that the unity of the country was paramount and should be considered at all times.

“I am appealing to those responsible for the Kaduna, Kano, Borno and Yobe attacks to desist from them; we don’t create lives and we should not take them,’’ he said.

He described that various bombings as unfortunate, saying that the Easter Sunday bombing in Kaduna was shocking.

The cleric condoled with the families of those who lost their lives, and prayed God to give them the strength to bear the losses.

The CAN president also sympathised with the families of the 22 members of the St Roberts’ Catholic Church, Adamgbe in Benue, who died when the church collapsed on April 7. (NAN)
