The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will on Wednesday ratify the decision on the venue of the 2013 Afcon qualifier between the Super Eagles and Rwanda’s Wasps and the 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Namibia.

Both games had been scheduled to hold in Kaduna but fears over security forced the federation to consider a shift in venue. The northern Nigeria city of Kaduna recently suffered a deadly bomb attack earlier in April which left over 40 people dead and scores injured.

An inspection team on Saturday took a look at facilities at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri and the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan and the NFF will on Wednesday, make a decision on which of the two cities will host both games.

“We will announce, on Wednesday where the matches will be played and I can tell you that both cities look set to host the matches. However, we have also been greatly impressed by the government of Oyo State in the manner of assurances we have received from them,” the source told SuperSport.com.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles drew 0-0 with Rwanda in the first leg of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying on February 29 in Kigali.

The Super Eagles have also been grouped alongside Malawi, Kenya and Namibia in pool F of the Africa zone of the 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.
