Meanwhile, politicians across ideological and party divides in Ondo State under the aegis of the Progressives Coalition, PC, yesterday adopted Governor Olusegun Mimiko for a second term in office due to what they described as his impressive performance in the past three years.

According to a statement by the state’s Secretary of PC, Dr Dapo Iwala, the group noted with utmost delight the unprecedented performance of the Dr. Mimiko- led administration in Ondo State since its inception about three years ago.

“We are therefore not in any way surprised that people of goodwill and institutions, both at home and abroad have continued to bestow on him avalanche of awards of excellence in grassroots leadership and good governance.”
