Following their narrow 2-1 defeat of Unisport Nkam of Cameroon to move into the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup last Sunday in Owerri, Heartland Football Club of Owerri have promised to do their best to ensure they get to the final of the CAF competition and as well win the Premier league.
As the team battle Warri Wolves in Owerri tomorrow, the Naze millionaires have promised to do their best in order to get the maximum three points.
Technical Adviser of the team, Lodewijk De Kruif however, disclosed to Inside Out Premier League that they will ensure they get to the top of the table with good performance.
According to him, “playing against Wolves won’t be easy, especially with the fact that they are a strong side. On our part, we are not going to settle for less. Our aim is to get to the top by defending our FA Cup, win the league and also do well in the continental competition. It is important we win tomorrow’s game which will really help us,” de Kriuf said
For Wolves, playing against Heartland is like playing against every other strong team they have come across and they say they won’t be threatened but promise to do their best in order to get the maximum three points away which will see them on top of the league table.
Spokesman of the club, Timi Ebikagboro said that “We are used to titanic battles and we are ready for this one (Heartland). We are well prepared for tomorrow. Winning tomorrow’s game will see us move one step further in the league and we will do our best to achieve that in the end,” he said.
