Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo who earned the tag of the most capped Nigeria player after the Nations Cup qualifiers in Kigali on Wednesday has revealed his plans to quit international football.

Yobo stated that he earlier planned to hang his boots after the 2012 Nations Cup, but had to put off the idea till 2013.

Yobo who is yet to win any international title in  his football career stated that he would love to win the Nations Cup next year and that will be a fitting parting gift to him.

“If we had qualified for the Nations Cup, I would have retired after the competition, but I want to continue to win the trophy for the country in 2013.”
