Shooting Stars interim Coach, Babatunde Odubola has blamed injury on some of his key players for their tough 1-0 victory against Kwara United at the Lekan Salami Stadium last Wednesday.
Speaking at the post match conference, the stopgap coach said the players displayed good team work which he believes will continue as the team prepare to move out of the relegation zone, promising to pick a point from this weekend’s tie in Enugu against Rangers.
“Some players got injured in the first half but we had to manage them to avoid making mistakes in substitution. We thank God for the win, the players did very well but they need to do more to recover points dropped at home. The players showed good team work and passion for the game, which I hope will continue and help improve the team.
“My appreciation goes to the state government, fans, supporters, and the media for their support for the club. I promise to get at least a point against Rangers in Enugu on Sunday,” Coach Odubola said.
