Former Bendel Insurance of Benin coach Bright Omokaro has  revealed to Inside Out Premier League,why he threw in the towel.

Omokaro, a former Super Eagles defender disclosed that his resignation was as a result of the poor working environment which was not conducive enough  for him to discharge his duty as a coach.

He added that the poor results recorded by the team so far caused him and the players incessant harassment and threats from fansthat there have been so much threats for him and the players which affected them and also put their life at risk.

According to Omokaro, “The working condition in the team is no longer safe for me and the coaching crew as well as the players. We have been confronted lately with so much life  threatening situations both from officials  and  fans. It  is done openly especially when  we don’t win a game . It is just a terrible experience.

Continuing he said, “the  players play under fear following threats by some workers  in the sports council. Really it is my wish to see the team get to the peak of their game and return to the premier league because this was  the same  club that  brought me to limelight.

I would have wanted to  continue with them  if the environment had been conducive. But as an employee there is nothing I could do than to quit. I have to save my life and family,” he said.

Omokaro was handed the job of chief coach of the club in November last year  with a target to get the team back to the premier league.
