AKURE- AFTER dumping the ruling Labour Party, LP, in Ondo State, for two years, the state’s former Works Commissioner, Pastor Yele Omogunwa, weekend, returned to the party.
Omogunwa who initially defected to the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, later dumped the PDP for the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, only to return to the LP.
He returned alongside his supporters to the LP in Ode-Irele, while other ACN members from Ilaje Local Government Area led by Mr Akintoye Ebie also joined the LP.
Omogunwa said his return to LP with his supporters, was in the interest of his people, his town and the entire State.
According to him, “I am fully back to Labour Party today. Labour Party is my political home and anybody who does not know within the state and outside the state should know that I’m back to Labour Party.”
Dr Olusegun Mimiko in his address described Pastor Yele Omogunwa as a seasoned and determined politician, who had sacrificed himself for the success of Labour Party in the State.
