LAGOS –  Chairman, CFAO automobile group, Sir. Molade Okoya-Thomas, has called for birth control system in the country to enable parents give their children adequate training and proper upbringing.

Dr. Thomas made the call in Lagos while briefing newsmen on Afribaby Babycare exhibition coming up next month in Lagos, Rivers States and Abuja.

He frowned at the level of treatment and care being given to Nigerian children, saying that the attitude of some parents towards children leave much to be desired and must change if the future of Nigerian children must be safeguarded.

According to him, the lack of proper care for children constitutes a major factor that had led to loss of babies at both tender and growing stages of their lives. Some of the treatments,  according to him includes: use of dirty water for their bath, poor nutrition, poor parental care, denial for informal education among others.
