ABUJA—The Police Service Commission has approved the appointment of Mr. Tunde Ogunsakin as Commissioner of Police in charge of Special Fraud Unit, SFU, Lagos, with immediate effect.

The appointment of Ogunsakin, a crack detective to head the Force version of the anti-graft body, followed a recommendation by the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Abubakar.

Until his new appointment, Ogunsakin was the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Info-tech, at the Force Headquarters.

It would be recalled that Ogunsakin, who served as Director of Operations of EFCC from June 2008 to May 2009, was a former Director of Operations of Independent Corrupt Practices and Related Offences Commission, ICPC.
