Following a newspaper report by the Ogbe-Ijoh Governing Council that crisis was brewing between Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh communities, President of Aladja Community, Mr. Dennis Tabuko, has debunked the publication, saying there was no crisis between the communities.
Addressing newsmen in Aladja, Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, Tabuko said Aladja is a peace loving community that does not foment trouble.
He debunked the statement by Ogbe-Ijoh Governing Council, stressing that there was no crisis between Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh. He said if such a crisis was going on, it must be an individual affair and not between the two communities.
On the issue of buffer zone, Tabuko said: The State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, during his visit to the buffer zone, gave a directive that Ogbe-Ijoh should stop using the buffer zone. I remember vividly during the investigation by the Tunde Smooth-led mediation committee, that there was an agreement that nobody should go to the buffer zone, and we have adhered to the governor’s instruction.”
