Rwanda’s coach, Milutin ‘Macho’ Sredojevic has plans to upset Nigeria with a bunch of youthful players, when both countries clash in the February 29 Nations Cup qualifier in Kigali.

Macho beat Keshi to the job of coaching the Amavubi’s last year and the match against the Eagles will be his first major test with the Rwanda team. The Serbia born-coach is targeting to create a famous win for Rwanda ranked 110 in the world by FIFA compared to Nigeria’s 45 placing for the month of January.

The coach is convinced that his team can beat the Eagles after watching Guinea rub sand in the eyes of Nigerian players during the 2012 Nations Cup qualifiers last October. He would be capitalising on perceived weakness of the Eagles.

According to a Rwandan journalist, Jejje Muhinde the Amavubi can beat the Eagles with the plans the coach has put on the ground.

“We had enough time to prepare. As they say, “the only way to slap a king in the face is when he has a fly on his cheek”.
However, coach Keshi fresh from observing the proceedings of the 2012 Nations Cup is optimistic that the Eagles will not struggle to qualify for the Nations Cup next year in South Africa. Like Macho, Keshi will bel playing his first competitive game since taking over from Samson Siasia in November 2011.

keshi has kept a camp of home-based players running, since December and has played two friendlies against 2012 Nations Cup finalists Zambia and Botswana.

But Keshi declared that he will be fielding his best team against Rwanda and he won’t take any chances with the qualification campaign.

“I believe Nigeria will qualify for the next African Cup of Nations. We will invite the best players no matter where they are based,”
