Ogun set for Parliamentary Games

Organisers of the Ogun State Parliamentary Games has said this year’s edition will hold between March 22 to 31.

And in their quest to make the tournament a successful one, members of the Local Organising Committee, have embarked upon a facility tour of the venues to used to be used to know their state of readiness for the event, which is in its second year.

The Commissioner for Sports in Ogun State, Olugbenga Otunuga chars the Committee planning the event. Other members comprise the Permanent Secretary in the Sports Ministry, Onabanjo Opesanmi, President of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria, Comrade Fatai Jimoh and Secretary-General, Ololade Oyeyipo.

Kayode Oladeji and Ejiro Omonode of Mastersports International, who are the consultants of the competition, are also members of the LOC. Governor Ibikunle Amosun is the chief host of the event.

The competition is open to all staff of the various state Houses and the National Assembly. Its objectives are to provide a medium for enhanced bonding among parliamentary workers in the country, create a healthy workforce, networking, socialization and promote national unity.
