Ondo lawmakers justify doctoring budget

BY DAYO JOHNSON

AKURE – LAWMAKERS in Ondo State weekend doused the controversies trailing  their recent approval of the re-ordered budget forwarded to them by Governor Olusegun Mimiko.

The Chairman of the House Committee on Information Oyebo Aladetan reacting to the criticism declared ” it was a normal process in  legislative functions. “

Governor Mimiko few weeks ago asked for  approval to re-arrange some units of the 2011 Appropriation Law by moving funds from some sectors to others.

But the opposition party in the state – Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, described the approval as fraudulent and abnormal.

Aladetan while speaking on a personality interview by the Correspondent Chapel of the NUJ in Akure, said the approval was given in the best interest of the people of the state.
