Lagos suspends sanitation restriction order

By Olasunkanmi Akoni

Lagos State Government has announced the suspension of restriction order on vehicular and human movements for the December monthly environmental sanitation exercise earlier scheduled for tomorrow.

This was to allow for a hitch-free preparation for the New Year celebration.

The state Commissioner for the Environment, Mr. Tunji Bello, who stressed that the state could not but encourage cleanliness in all aspects of human endeavour, enjoined all and sundry to ensure that the festival was celebrated in the cleanest environment possible.

He urged Lagos residents to clean their homes and immediate environment irrespective of the lifting of the restriction order, which is only for the month of December.
