Super Eagles Chief Coach, Steven Keshi has promised to bring out the best from the Nigeria Premier League players and make them suitable material for the main stream Super Eagles.
The Eagles Chief Coach aware of the dwindled standard of the league players said that with the kind of program he plans to take them through, they would definitely become better players.

“One of the reasons I want to them in training even while other people are enjoying their Christmas is for them to understand that things are going to be different from how it used to be. I want utmost seriousness from the players, and they have to pay the price.”
The home based players have not been having the best of times in the senior National team in with several of the coaches saying that the players do not leave up to their expectations. Though, immediate past chief Coach of the Team, Samson Siasia did injected some very few into the Team.
Others like Shuibu Amodu never saw anything good in them and never gave them chance to make the main stream Super Eagles.
