With more powerful engines, irrestitable design and comfort amenities, the 2012  Toyota Camry looks set to continue the market dominance of its predecessor.

Underneat the bonnet of the new Toyota Camry is a powerful 2.5 litre four cylinder engine which replaced the previous 2.4 litre unit. However, the top of the range Camry comes with a 3.5 litre V6 engine which deliver ultra-smooth 268-horsepower. These engines are the result of Toyota’s years of research in engine refinement and fuel efficiency. The new Camry V6 engine, for instance  has been describd as best all-round in any family sedan by experts.

For excellent road handling the new Camry is equipped with a six speed automatic transmission which ensured smooth gear change at all times.

The exterior styling of the new Camry has elevated the car beyond customers expectations. Boasting a new grille, larger headlights and a revised taillight design, the Camry looks smart, yet more aggressive and intimidating.

More of the previous Camry optional features now come as standard thereby elevating it to almost a luxury sedan. On the safety aspect, for instance, stability control is now standard across the Camry lineup. Others include auto up/down windows all around and a new audio system with bluetooth even for the lowest trim levels.

The new Camry comes with a refined suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels, leather seats, auto dimming rearview mirror, reclining rear seats, keyless ignition and entry, six-speaker CD audio system with an auxilary input jack, a tilt-and telescoping steering wheel, cruise control, full power accessories and eight-way power driver seat among other.

As a top model in the Toyota line-up, the Camry comes with antilock brakes with brake assist, stability control, front seat side airbags, full length side curtain airbags and a drive knee airbag. These features have been responsible for Camry’s current five star safety rating.

Already the National Highway Safety Administration rated the new Camry five star in all frontal and side impact categories. Also, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the Camry a top rating in its frontal-offset and side impact crash tests.

Inside the Camry, Toyota brought its decades of experience to bear. All the features are strategically located to guaranty quality interior. There are plenty of storage spaces and room to guaranty occupants. The leather seats, multi-function steering wheel, dual air conditioning system and quality materials used in the Camry places above its competitors.

No wonder the chairman of Toyota Nigeria, Chief Michael Ade-Ojo described the Camry as another masterpiece from Toyota at the unveiling of the powrful sedan recently in Abuja.
