Shooting Stars Sports club of Ibadan have sacked 19 of its players ahead of the new season which is billed to kick off January 7, 2012.

The Oluyole Warriors ended the 2010/2011 season occupying the 15th position on the log with 47 points. A reliable source of the team disclosed to Inside Out Premier League that the captain of the team Shakiru Lawal and 18 other players were shown the exit door last Wednesday and the State governor has also put those players who are with contract on transfer market for poor performance.

Meanwhile, they have started their trials with about 200 players under the watchful eyes of former U-17 assistant coach and their feeder team head coach, Babatunde Odubola a.k.a Zico who was appointed as assistant coach and Mutiu Adepoju who returned as General Manager
