WARRI— DELTA State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, will on December 1 be invested as the grand patron of the National Union of Local Government Employees of Nigeria, NULGE, for his outstanding administrative performance and concern for the welfare of local government workers.
Delta State president of NULGE, Comrade David Ofoeyeno said this, at the second NULGE Consultative dinner party at the Nelrose Hotel, Asaba, to cross-fertilise ideas between the Union and Heads of Personnel Management/Treasurers of local government councils in the 25 council areas in Delta State.
The gathering, the first of its kind in the history of NULGE in the state, was intended to assure the HPM/TLGs of the good intentions of the union for all categories of workers in the council and to solicit their support for all union matters.
Ofoeyeno who used the occasion to pour encomiums on Governor Uduaghan for his wonderful assistance to the union workers’ welfare in terms of regular salary payment, trainings, seminars at home and abroad also appealled to the HPM/TLGs to speedily facilitate the payment of the harmonisation and medical and health workers salary arrears.
