Benin – Edo is to host an international football match between the Super Eagles and Botswana at the ultra-modern Ogbe stadium in Benin.

A statement on Monday in Benin signed by Mr Peter Okhiria, the chief press secretary to Gov. Adams Oshiomhole, said the march was part of several activities to mark Oshiomhole’s third anniversary as governor.

Top Nigerian music stars “will storm Benin City on Saturday, Nov. 12 as part of activities’’, the statement added.

It said the activities would kick off on Thursday with an interdenominational service at Idia College hall in Benin while a Town Hall meeting would hold on Friday at the same venue to be followed by a Jumat service at the Central Mosque, Igun Street, Benin.

“The music concert at which top stars are expected will hold on Saturday at the Oba Ovoranmwen Square (Kings Square) at 11 a.m.,followed by a FIFA Grade A match between the Super Eagles and Botswana at 4 p.m.,’’ according to the statement.

“A thanksgiving service will hold on Sunday at the St Paul Catholic Church, Airport Road, Benin City  followed a grand reception at the Homeville Hotel, Benin City.’’ (NAN)
