Edo ready for Eagles

The Edo State Football Association have declared that everything has been put in place for this weekend’s international friendly between Nigeria and Botswana at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.

Speaking on the match in Lagos, vice chairman of the Edo State FA, Frank Ilaboye said, “we are ready. I want to assure Nigerians who want to come to Benin for the match that everything is in place. Security will be tight and spectators will have a swell time.”

Ilaboya said the State government was equally interested in seeing that everything went well. “The government considers this match as special. It has been a very long time the Edo state capital hosted the Super Eagles.”

Continuing, the former chairman of the Lagos state chapter of the Sports Writers Association said, “Remember, this will be Stephen Keshi’s sweet home coming. Everything will be done to ensure it turns out a memorable one for him.”
