Deltans hail Uduaghan’s victory at tribunal

By FESTUS AHON, UGHELLI

Eminent Deltans, yesterday, hailed the victory of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan on the petition filed against him at the gubernatorial election tribunal.

Those who hailed the judgment include Chief Ighoyota Amori, Dr Steve Oru, Chief Fred Majemite, Olorogun Taleb Tebite, Mr Roland Oyibo, Dr Ebenezer Okorodudu, Mr Tempo Mudi and Mr Newworld Safugha. They spoke in separate interviews with Sunday Vanguard.

Amori, senior political adviser to the governor, said the judgment was victory for democracy and for all well meaning Deltans. He urged those in opposition to key into the state government.

Oru said the judgment was thorough, thanking Deltans for their continued support for Uduaghan. Majemite, political adviser to the governor (Delta Central), said the judgment was a victory for the sustainable development of the state, urging Chief Great Ogboru, the DPP candidate who filed the petition, to join forces with the PDP led government to move Delta forward.

Mudi, special adviser to the governor on youths, urged Ogboru to stop further litigation and said the judgment has further justified the mandate given to Uduaghan by Deltans.

Tebite, Okorodudu, Oyibo and Safugha, said the victory was an act of God.
