Agwu gives back to society in unique style

Former Super Eagles Captain, Austin Okocha and Flying Eagles coach, John Obuh will today storm the 1st edition of Julius Agwu talent hunt football competition which kicks-off at Our Lady of Lourdes Secondary School in Port Harcourt.

The event which will feature sports personalities in the country will be played amongst ten communities in Akpor Kingdom of River State.

According to Agwu, the essence is to encourage the people of his area and give back to the place he comes from.

“I had thought of this long ago and decided that, if I want to give back to the society, especially to my people, it should not be through music or comedy. We all know that football is the basic thing these days and I’m privileged to know a lot of these former Super Eagles players and football academy owners, who I have decided to invite over to watch the competition. And they will possibly pick out talents who may play football to the highest level,” Agwu said.

The event may also feature the likes of Celestine Babayaro, Samson Siasia and Peter Rufai.
