Adepoju tips Eagles to bounce back

Former Eagles attacking midfielder a.k.a headmaster, Mutiu Adepoju said that the Stephen Keshi’s led side are on the verge of a revival and could return to be among the best in the world.

Judging by the two friendly games the Eagles played against Botswana and Zambia, the Shooting Stars Sports Club boss said he sees hope in the team going by their performance in the those games. He added that if they continued in that manner, it was possible for the team to get back to its winning ways.

“Judging by the two friendly matches against Botswana and Zambia, I see the Super Eagles going back to its glory days and they could also be back to world reckoning. Honestly, we need a formidable team that will compete with the best in world and it is possible if we start getting things right by fielding good players especially players who are hungry to play for their country.

Continuing he said, “Nigeria is blessed with rich pool of talented players, so we need to get good and talented players that will help the team get back again . Things may not be good now, but I think in the nearest future, it is going to be okay with our football.

“ We have all seen what has happened including the players they need to buckle up . They know how everyone is feeling about the whole situation but I know with subsequent games things will normalize,” he said.

He however, called for early preparations for the qualification of the 2013 Nations Cup and 2014 World Cup campaign. Adding that only with early preparation can aid the team to qualify.

“ We need to start preparing for the next Nations Cup and World Cup qualification if we must succeed. We should also try and learn from the last qualification and see how we can get things right again,” he
