Sunshine chasing a lost course – Club Africain boss

Sunshine Stars of Akure have been told to forget about Confederations Cup as they will be chasing a lost course when they play Club Africain next week in the second leg semi-final clash.

Club Africain chairman Jamel Atrous stated in Tunis that his side will fight harder to get into the final of the competition at the expense of Sunshine. He noted that Club Africain received a massive boost from the 1-0 win at Ijebu Ode.

However, Sunshine captain Ikenna Ojiakor is drawing strength from their impressive away record. He argued that all is not lost for the team as they have everything to play for in the second leg.

“Only God knows why the result went the way it did. This is because we did everything possible to get a win.

“But all is not lost we still have a good chance of turning things around. We did before against Motema Pembe in Congo,” said the player.
