As the executive committee of the Nigeria Football Federation meets today in Abuja to discuss the fate of embattled Super Eagles Coach, Samson Siasia, a former assistant Secretary General of the NFF, James Peter has called on the football ruling body to terminate their romance with the former international and appoint a capable hand for the job.
Speaking in Abuja Thursday, James Peters said it was a matter of national pride and a demonstration of the country being abreast with what obtains all over the world, adding that retaining the former Julius Berger of Lagos player as Chief Coach would ridicule Nigeria in the eyes of the world
“I want to say without mincing words, that the good thing NFF would do for Nigerians is by relieving Siasia of the job immediately,” Peter said. He insisted that since Siasia’s employment was under a written contract the terms of contract must be observed in deciding the fate of the coach.
“They should respect the terms of the contract they signed with him which states that he should qualify us for the Africa Nations Cup and get the team to the semi final. This part of the contract was not fulfilled. None adherence to this clause of the contract would make people take the NFF Board as a bunch of un-serious people.
Speaking in the same vein, Chairman of FCT FA, Musa Talle said “if the NFF takes a contrary decision on the Coach, the y would have themselves to blame.
