Ogbomosho stadium needs upgrading

By Kate Obodo
Ogbomosho natives have appealed to the OYO State Government, through the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Dapo Adesina to upgrade the Soun Stadium, Ogbomoso which is in a poor state.

The indigenes expressed dissatisfaction with the state of the stadium, which they said, was not good for playing football.

They made their views known to the Commissioner, during an inspection tour of the stadium cum stakeholders meeting on the Crwon Football Club, held during the week.

Some of those who spoke at the event  attributed the poor performance of the club in the on going 2010/2011 Premier League season partly to the inability of the club to play its home games at the Ogbomoso stadium which was not approved by the Nigeria Premier League (NPL)

Hon. Abdulfatai Buhari who bemoaned the poor state of the stadium and the position of Crown on the  table, urged the commissioner to  ensure that there is transformation in the team.
