National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, has regained it’s ‘A’ status in the International Coordinating Committee of National Human Rights Institutions, ICC, and was elected into the Bureau of the global body in Cape Town South Africa, last weekend.
According to Mr Lambert Oparah, the commission’s Deputy Director, Public Affairs and Communication, “NHRC regained it’s A status at the 8th Biennial Conference of the Network of African National Human Rights Institutions, NANHRIs, where Nigeria also bagged membership of the steering Committee of NANHRI’s.’
