ABUJA-Minister of Police Affairs, Navy Captain Caleb Olubolade (rtd), Wednesday, attributed the problem of insecurity in the nation to non-collaboration of security agencies and non-availability of information to police by members of the public.
The minister spoke when he received members of Association of Retired Police Officers of Nigeria, ARPON, in Abuja, led by former Inspector-General of Police, Sir Mike Okiro.
He said: “It is obvious that this administration is serious with security. In fact, it tops the list of Mr. President’s agenda.
“Internal security is the responsibility of the police and we will do everything possible to ensure that they carry out their duty perfectly.
“That is why we are soliciting for the co-operation of all security operatives in the country to fight insecurity.”
