The West African School Sports Union Games (WASSUG) earlier schedule to hold from September 10 – 22, 2011 has been postponed to December 2nd to the 13th, 2011.

According to a communiqué issued by the executive committee of the West African school Sports after an emergency meeting held in Lagos, the committee explained that the decision to postpone the games which will still be hosted by Lagos State, was based on the fact that incumbent government, including the current commissioner for sports are quite new in office and ought to be given some time to settle down in office.
